Last year I had the pleasure of getting to work on a show that featured a nice little shout out to jiu-jitsu. I had no idea who was booked on this brand new late night/ game show variety show, so I was legitimately surprised when I saw #RondaRousey and #DemiLovato were on the call sheet for one of our production days. It was especially nice that the show's producers made it a point to talk about Demi Lovato's Brazilian jiu-jitsu training. She has been very vocal about the positive influence jiu-jitsu can have for physical fitness and mental health. What you don't see on camera is how when we cut to commercial, Ronda and Demi went over to greet one another. I wasn't privy to any part of that conversation, but it was a cool thing to witness from the sidelines, especially as a BJJ practitioner. I'd like to imagine it was a little bit more about training and BJJ. It's even better to know that this episode the show had over four million people get to see a positive mention about our sport on a number one primetime television series. If you guys get the chance, check out the full episode of "Game On" on demand or via CBS.com. It's great quarantine viewing and features a great roster of rotating guest stars throughout the season. #GameOn
